Position: Remote Accountant
Job Type: Full Time

Ideal candidate will have minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with a full understanding of general accounting. Preferred experience working with QuickBooks Enterprise. International experience or exposure to Western Management preferred.

Accounting/Bookkeeping Responsibilities & Duties

Managing specific accounting functions for a U.S. based corporation.
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, and Expense Reimbursements.
Import/Export Payroll Records to Payroll Provider.
Assist with Month-End Close Process: Prepare Journal Entries, Import Credit Card Transactions, Manage Union Vacation Accrual and Health and Welfare Payments
Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure including job costing and accrual accounting.
Analyze departmental work flow and help to develop more efficient and accurate procedures
Support tax filing activities

Requirements

Working knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise
High degree of computer literacy. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Windows
Strong organization skills, detail oriented, strong follow up skills
Ability to proactively and thoughtfully solve problems
Ability to streamline processes and procedures
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
Management and supervisory experience is an advantage but not required
Fluent English language skills — verbal & written

Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA, preferred but not required, with 2-5 years professional accounting experience

  • Bachelors Degree holder in Accountancy
  • Preferably CPA
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong experience with manipulating data using Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels across an organization. High level of collaboration, research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues across functional lines & management levels.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to constant improvement.
  • Self-motivated, hands on, detail oriented with the ability to take the initiative, and remain flexible with changing priorities. Ability to adapt to rapid change and think creatively.
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer applications and advanced data retrieval techniques in a disparate system environment.
