Servi-Tek Facility Solutions Participates in Bikes And Toys Donation For Children in Need
Servi-Tek Facility Solutions is proud to be a part of the BOMA Charity Events Committee’s bike donation to The San Diego Center for Children. The delivery of about 75 bicycles along with several boxes of helmets was made possible through the phenomenal annual bike drive of the team at Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. In addition to the bikes and helmets, the event also included the delivery of a significant amount of toys for Christmas.
Kids from the San Diego Center for Children sent back hand-crafted thank you notes with loving messages. One of the messages read: “Thank you for putting your caring self’s in our lives to help us during this Christmas time. You are gonna make us so happy this year! You are awesome!” Another note said: “Thank you for making Christmas possible!”
Children are the Future
Every child deserves to enjoy a happy and fulfilling childhood. But many children struggle with behavioral health problems. The San Diego Center for Children is a nonprofit providing evidence-based therapeutic, foster care, educational, and transition-age services to families and children facing the challenge of behavioral, mental, and emotional disorders.
Founded in 1887, the Center is one of the oldest children’s organizations in the region empowering thousands of people every day through its community-based services and eight program sites across San Diego County. The Center has been accredited with the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, making it one of the few organizations in the state to have earned this prestigious recognition in the field of children’s behavioral healthcare.
BOMA San Diego Supports Charity Events and Community Service Programs
Servi-Tek is an active member of the Charity Events Committee of BOMA San Diego, a professional association of the commercial real estate industry. As one of the most proactive BOMA locals in the country, the organization sponsors several charitable events throughout the year, hosts annual awards competitions, conducts educational programs aimed at promoting professional competency, and sponsors an annual golf tournament.
Servi-Tek supports community service programs run by various partners of BOMA San Diego, such as Promises2Kids, Feeding San Diego, Second Chance Program, and Ronald McDonald House Charities San Diego. Last year, Servi-Tek collected toys for Promises2Kids for the holidays as part of its community activities in association with BOMA San Diego.
