BOMA Yearly Event Attended by Servi-Tek Facility Solutions
Friday, November 2, 2018, marked BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) OC’s 35th annual Awards of Excellence Gala.
Held at the Fashion Island Hotel in Newport Beach from 6:00 pm – 11:30 pm, this highly anticipated BOMA yearly event attracted hundreds of local building owners and industry professionals from throughout the region with a primary focus: to dress up, have fun, and celebrate the very best and brightest contributors in commercial real estate management, operations, and services.
Firm believers in recognizing great work (as well as celebrations of any kind), the Servi-Tek team showed up in full force to support participating clients and commemorate another amazing year of performance and innovation within the industry.
Servi-Tek attendees included Eric Friz, Kurt Leser, Michael Prestridge, Eric Sorensen, and Scott Sutherland.
Their table also included several other local business representatives, such as Nicole That (Muller Company), Sue Donahugh (The Muller Company), Nicci Keizer (The Muller Company) Kimberly Civita (Davis Partners), and Mary Beth Volpini (Newmark Knight Frank).
The festivities
The evening’s festivities launched with delicious local fare, music, and ample networking opportunities. However, BOMA yearly event, the annual gala, is so much more than a social event. As its name implies, the party also takes time to bestow awards of excellence to field leaders across multiple categories, including:
- The Outstanding Buildings of the Year (TOBY)
- Principal Member of the Year
- Allied Member of the Year
- Property Manager of the Year
- Engineer of the Year
- Rising Star of the Year
“The BOMA OC’s Awards of Excellence Gala is an event we look forward to every year, since BOMA has a lot of events every year, for a wide range of reasons. As professionals in this industry, we know firsthand that we are all working hard, no matter what our specific specialties. It’s nice to set aside time to have a little fun and celebrate everything that we’ve all accomplished over the past year as well as recognize some of our colleagues’ achievements.”
Servi-Tek co-founder, Kurt Lester, discussed his team’s attendance at the annual gathering.
