As leaders in the facilities management and commercial cleaning vertical, we strive to offer more than just the status quo.

We continuously challenge ourselves to raise the performance bar and redefine what success looks like.

One of Servi-Tek’s leaders, Kurt Lester,  completes Ironman in Kona.

Most importantly, at Servi-Tek we don’t just demand a lot from ourselves professionally.

We also promote an internal culture where we are constantly pushing and supporting each other as we seek to better ourselves personally as well.

Servi-Tek Cofounder, Kurt Lester, did precisely this when he recently competed in and completed the 2019 Ironman 70.3 held in Kona, Hawaii in June of this year.

“I knew the terrain for the race was going to be tough, but I always welcome a new challenge. Training for the race was hard, but I was really excited to keep pushing and seeing what I was capable of. Most importantly, to me, the Kona Ironman 70.3 wasn’t just an athletic event – it was a community event. I was so grateful to be a part of it all.”

Ironman 70.3 Triathlon’s Longstanding Hawaiian History

First launched in 1978, the Hawaii Ironman 70.3 has a 40+-year history and is hailed as one of the most exerting and beautiful triathlon courses, attracting elite athletes from around the world to compete.

As the gold standard for triathlons, the Ironman races are a mark of global merit, not just for its winners, but also for the exclusive group of fierce, international competitors who have earned the distinction of successfully completing the race’s grueling requirements.

This year’s event included a 1.2-mile swim in the North Pacific Ocean, a 58-mile bike ride along with the Ironman World Championship Course, and a 13.2-mile run through the Big Island’s scenic outdoor capital of Kona.

The course is demanding, but participants get to enjoy a unique view of paradise with every stroke, pedal, and step.

For Kurt, as an avid triathlete and outdoorsman, he recognized that the race would be difficult.

However, the decision to sign up for the Kona Ironman 70.3 was surprisingly easy.

The Servi-Trak team congratulates Kurt on a job well done!

We know firsthand that his exceptional performance, unwavering capacity to challenge himself and complete dedication to integrity, excellence, and community isn’t just limited to this year’s Ironman event – they are all core values that he’s personally helped instill and promote throughout Servi-Trak’s dynamic corporate culture over the last 13 years.
